The soil is a rich red clay loam accented by the presence of granite, ironstone and quartz – along with very small quantities of gold. The trees have responded to the naturally fertile and well drained soils with vigour  resulting in intense flavoured fruits  which carries through to the distinctive award winning olive oils.

The trees are harvested in late autumn when the balance between oil content of the fruit and flavour
is at its peak.
